Phil Friedman
President and CEO

Phil Friedman was born and raised in the former Soviet Union. After spending
12 years in numerous positions in the electronics industry, he immigrated to
the United States and settled in New York City. In addition to his degrees
in Electrical Engineering, Economics and Finance from his native country,
Mr. Friedman also studied Information Systems in the United States.
In 1984, Mr. Friedman started Computer Generated Solutions (CGS), a
diversified IT solutions and services company providing software,
consulting, systems integration, training and help desk support. Today, with
3,000 professionals and a global presence spanning North America, Europe and
Asia, CGS maintains a leadership position delivering end-to-end,
award-winning solutions in over 30 countries.
Under Mr. Friedman’s leadership, CGS has been recognized by Inc.
Magazine, Deloitte & Touche, Crain’s New York Business, among
others, as one the fastest growing privately held technology companies in
the United States. Mr. Friedman has expanded CGS through organic growth as
well as the successful integration of several acquisitions.
In 1996 Mr. Friedman was named Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young,
Inc., Inc. Magazine, Merrill Lynch and the City of New York. In 2007
he was awarded the Ellis Island Medal
of Honor. In 2007 and 2008, Mr. Friedman was appointed to represent the State of New
York on the Presidential Business Commission and to serve as an Honorary
Chairman on the National Business Advisory Council.
In 2009, Mr. Friedman was elected to serve as the President of the American
Committee of Shaare Zedek Hospital and as a member of the International
Board of Governors. He also serves on the boards of Yeshiva University, the
Commercial Division of TechAmerica and the Tom Lantos Foundation for Human
Rights and Justice.

Jeffrey White, CPA

Jeff is a Senior Vice President and the Chief Financial Officer of CGS, responsible for all finance, accounting, banking, insurance and internal technology.
Jeff has over 40 years of finance, accounting and management experience in multiple industries. Prior to joining CGS in 2000, he held senior management positions at the major apparel companies French Connection and Dalil Fashions, Inc., and was CFO of the US operations of Krupp International, Inc. He began his career at the Big-Eight Accounting firm of Deloitte Haskins & Sells.
A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a Bachelors degree in Accounting from C.W. Post College, Jeff is a member of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) and the New York State Society of CPAs (NYSSCPA).

Carl S. Heringer
Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary

Carl is the Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary of CGS. He has overall responsibility for the legal and contractual matters in the company. He joined CGS in January 1998, and has held similar positions in finance companies and major manufacturing and technical companies.
Carl has a Bachelor of Arts Cum Laude from City University of New York, Brooklyn College, and a Juris Doctor from State University of New York, Buffalo School of Law. Carl is admitted to practice in New York State, New Jersey, and a number of Federal Jurisdictions.

Paul Joseph
Vice President, Human Resources

Paul is the Vice President of Human Resources at CGS. Paul has over 20 years of experience as an HR Professional across different industries. Prior to CGS he has been with companies that include Charles Schwab, Reuters, and North American Philips.
Paul holds an MBA from Babson College and a JD from Brooklyn Law School. In addition, he is a licensed attorney in New York State.
