On September 1st, Computer Generated Solutions Romania opened in Sibiu, the third contact center in Romania, fulfilling its promise to have over 2,000 employees by the end of the year 2011; a promise launched three years ago once with the opening of Brasov branch.
A world leader in providing end-to-end technology, Computer Generated Solutions Inc. had establishd its European business center in Romania in 2002, by acquiring EasyCall, a company founded by Vladimir Sterescu, the current Country Manager of CGS Romania.
After 27 years of business, CGS, Inc. currently serves North America, Europe and Asia, with 20 locations and over 3,000 employees worldwide, of which more than 2,000 employees are from the Romanian branches.
The success of the other two centers in Bucharest and Brasov required the extension of a third site, directing the attention toward Sibiu, due to its business development potential. For choosing the location, the high level of education of the inhabitants was taken into account, along with the large number of young people - students and graduates, and the advantage of the local airport, that facilitates communication with company's clients.
The new site, with an area of 2500 square meters, has a capacity of 600 seats, with a possibility of an extension. It's equipped with three training rooms which allow simultaneous training of 80 employees and meeting rooms with video conferencing equipment. The access to this office fits the needs of young people since it's located very close to the former bus station "Cibin", recently renamed "CGS Romania," on Str. Stefan cel Mare. 193.
The business of the new site began in late May, when the first employees completed the recruitment process and were trained for customer care. On September 1st, the official opening, was held and attended by the CEO and founder of CGS Inc., Phil Friedman, the General Manager of CGS Romania - Vladimir Sterescu, and the entire management team.
The launch event, structured with a press conference and a cocktail gathering, brought to the forefront the CGS Romania initiative to get involved in the local economy and social life, an intent supported by the recruitment campaign whose target is to reach up to 600 employees and through social actions directed to children institutionalized in Sibiu.
Starting with he program launched back in 2008 in Bucharest, Romania, CGS continues to be involved in the social life of the city by organizing a donations campaign directed at Gulliver Placement Center, through which children have received computers and shoes from CGS Romania that will make the new school year easier.
