Peaches Uniform Selects Complete BlueCherry Enterprise Package to Streamline Front Office, Back Office and Warehouse Corporations
New York, NY - March 29, 2004 - Peaches Uniforms, Inc. today announced it has selected Computer Generated Solutions, Inc.’s (CGS) BlueCherry? Enterprise Suite to replace its Paragon legacy system.
The announcement, made jointly by Peaches Uniforms CFO Patty Meguire and Paul Magel, Senior Vice President of the CGS Application Solutions Division, caps the Dallas, Texas-based uniform manufacturer’s year-long search for a single-source, enterprise management technology resource to help them run both their front and back office operations profitably and cost efficiently.
Meguire was attracted to the company’s breadth of product and service offerings and expertise in the apparel industry. "Having outgrown our existing Paragon system," says Peaches Uniforms’ Meguire, "we had been looking for a replacement system for about a year. We narrowed our options to a couple of companies when we first learned of CGS. We quickly learned that CGS had an extensive program to offer us, from the basic BlueCherry package, to its web-based Virtual ShowRoom, PDM and Advanced Warehouse Management System. A combination of everything we need as our business continues to expand.
"Our goal is to make it easier for our customers to do business with us," Meguire continues. "A lot of what we were doing previously was trying to paste off-the-shelf, a la carte solutions onto our Paragon system. We expect BlueCherry to streamline our operations and enable us to work more efficiently." Peaches Uniforms plans to use the real-time Advanced Warehouse System throughout the inventory process. BlueCherry’s web-based Virtual ShowRoom will give Peaches Uniform’s sales force some of the tools needed to be more proactive with customers. They expect it will help increase sales as customers check orders and place orders on line.
