CGS Attains CMMI Level 3 Certification
Computer Generated Solutions India Pvt. Ltd. Achieves
Internationally Recognized Superior Quality Standard Level
New York, NY, October 10, 2007 -- Computer Generated Solutions, Inc. (CGS), a leading provider of software, systems integration, outsourcing services to organizations worldwide, has announced that its wholly owned subsidiary Computer Generated Solutions India Pvt. Ltd. (CGS India) based in Hyderabad, India, has achieved the CMMI Dev v1.2 Maturity Level 3 quality certificate from System Engineering Institute (SEI), one of the highest quality standards for software companies worldwide.
CGS India has demonstrated and implemented SEI processes across 100% of its projects, one of the highest organizational sample size appraisals noted in SEI Published Appraisal results. The scope of the appraisal also included 80% of staff, covering all groups except sub contractors and non technical staff. The certification is valid until 2010. And with this certification, CGS India is eligible to be a prime contractor for US Defense Department software projects.
Developed by the SEI at Carnegie Mellon University, Capability Maturity Model® Integration (CMMI) is an internationally recognized method for evaluating and measuring the maturity of an organization's software development processes. A CMMI Maturity Level 3 rating means that CGS India has established effective, well-defined processes and procedures in project management and software development that meet CMMI requirements. The Standard CMMI Appraisal Method for Process Improvement (SCAMPISM) Class A Appraisal was conducted by an independent audit team led by SEI authorized SCAMPI A lead appraiser Tumu Satish Kumar of Concept QA Labs Pvt. Ltd.
