Apparel Magazine Launches Tech Conference West
COLUMBIA, SC, Oct. 31, 2007 -- Apparel Magazine will expand the concept of its highly successful Apparel Tech Conference (held annually in New York) to the West Coast by producing a day-long technology conference at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising’s (FIDM) Orange County Campus on April 2, 2008.
“Apparel has more than 2,100 subscribers in California alone, and we’d like to serve this important segment of our audience by providing meaningful content about the technologies and related services that are giving apparel and retail executives a competitive leg-up,” said Apparel’s Publisher Susan Black in making the announcement of Tech Conference West.
The event will feature a keynote technology presentation, a tabletop display area of leading technology vendors, more than a dozen educational sessions and a networking reception. The content will address: Design and Product Development; Manufacturing; Information Technology; Sourcing, Logistics and Transportation; and Retailing.
New York-based Computer Generated Solutions, Inc. (CGS) is the exclusive platinum sponsor of Tech Conference West.
“The West Coast and California in particular are home to a thriving and creative apparel base, born out of great design talent and a strong entrepreneurial spirit,” said Paul Magel, Senior Vice President, BlueCherry Application Solutions, CGS. “We have expanded our West Coast presence to serve the strong demand we are seeing and are enthusiastic about partnering with Apparel to provide the market with the latest information about technology options, and the kinds of strategies and implementation tactics that are driving real success.”
Admittance to Tech Conference West will be complimentary for qualified apparel brands, retailers and manufacturers. Registration and other details will be available by year-end on apparelmag.com.
