CGS Hosts Leadership Conference to Provide Advice on Strategy and Value-Adding
IT Investments for Today’s Slow Economy within the Fashion, Apparel and Sewn Products Industry

New York, NY, September 23, 2008 -- Computer Generated Solutions, Inc. (CGS), a leader in innovative IT solutions and outsourcing services held a leadership seminar that focused on adding value through strategic planning and technology investments during a time of economic downturn. Sponsors included the Fashion Service Network (FSN) and Mann Publications.

Specifically for the apparel, textile and retail industry, the complementary event was held in New York City and provided attendees with information on strategies for the current economy, practical advice for businesses of all sizes, and case studies to demonstrate proven methods and IT deployments. The goal of the event was to offer everyday solutions to help organizations fully understand today’s market conditions and how it impacts their business. In addition, CGS and other industry thought leaders offered insight and advice on planning and implementing solutions that improve the bottom line even during a slow economy.

“It is our way of giving back to the industry that has served us well for the last 25 years,” said Paul Magel, Senior Vice President, CGS Application Solutions.

Ross Amarante, CFO of Ariela-Alpha International and client of CGS was one of the presenters at the seminar. "Being complacent is not going to benefit you in these tough economic times, but if you adopt a platform that works for you instead of the other way around, then payoffs can definitely be obtained in the short-term," said Amarante. Andrew Jassin of Jassin-O’Rourke, LCC and member of the FSN was also on hand to speak. "Re-examine your business, take the essential steps to get your organization on the right path for future success and for continued success, and don't be afraid to fix what is broken in the company,” said Jassin.

“As a long time customer of CGS it truly opened my eyes and hopefully our business can grow and expand with the current systems we have in place. Thinking inside the box and looking at our current processes will help us to maximize the technology assets we have in existence. It also opened my mind to future problems we may be able to avoid with some pro-active thinking,” said Kishin Datwani of Betsey Johnson.

“The uncertainty of the market leaves companies at risk, so to minimize your risk it may be best to invest in solutions that have a rapid ROI,” said Magel. "Integrating forward thinking with justifiable technology solutions will only help your business down the road."

The seminar was held at Arno Ristorante in New York City on September 18, 2008.
