CGS Marks 25th Anniversary with Continued
Growth and Global Expansion
New York-based IT solutions and services provider
Computer Generated Solutions, Inc. celebrates 25 years of growth and
global expansion in 2009. Key enablers in the success of CGS include
aggressive product development, acquisitions, strategic alliances
and an extensive and diversified client base. President and CEO Phil
Friedman cites the commitment to long term customer success as the
basis for the company’s financial stability and provides an outlook
for continued profitable growth.
New York, NY, April 1, 2009 — Twenty-five years
ago, Computer Generated Solutions (http://www.cgsinc.com)
opened a small office in New York City with five employees. Today,
CGS is a global information technology solutions and services leader
with 3,000 employees in twenty offices worldwide serving more than
3,500 customers in thirty countries. Furthermore, CGS has grown its
revenues over the past five years at a compound annual growth rate
(CAGR) of over 16%. The key to such extraordinary success is the
company’s persistent drive to enable groundbreaking business
performance through technology for its constantly-expanding range of
customers.
“We are grateful to our customers for enabling us to reach
this important milestone,” said Phil Friedman, founder, President
and CEO. “Our founding commitment to the long term success of our
clients has fueled our growth these 25 years. Today, we are
positioned with the financial strength and stability required to
deliver sustainable value to our customers in these uncertain times.
We look forward with confidence to a future of continued profitable
expansion based on deep relationships with our customers and
partners, on the creativity and dedication of our employees, and on
the entrepreneurial spirit that has been our trademark.”
Growth and International Expansion
Over the past quarter-century, CGS has expanded its operational
base beyond the United States to include Canada, Romania and India.
Augmenting its multi-shore delivery capabilities in 18 languages,
the company in 2008 opened its 2nd operations center in
Romania and 20th location worldwide, from where it serves
the contact center needs of several regional and multi-national
enterprises.
In addition to the organic growth CGS enjoys from its proprietary
solutions, an aggressive acquisition and strategic alliance program
also plays a major role in its business development success. Since
its inception, CGS has acquired and successfully integrated more
than 18 companies, which significantly extend its market reach and
domain expertise. It has also established over twenty strategic
alliances with leading global technology providers such as
Microsoft, IBM, Dell and RIM/BlackBerry.
This mix of organic growth, acquisitions and alliances has
propelled CGS to become, according to Inc. magazine, one of
America’s fastest growing privately-held companies. Other press and
industry accolades bestowed on CGS include recognition by IDC as a
leading worldwide contact services vendor; by VARBusiness 500 as one
of the leading value added resellers in North America; by Crain’s
New York Business as the seventh largest software company; and by
TrainingIndustry.com as a Top Twenty Training Outsourcing Provider.
