CGS’s open-ended Learning Management System is a web-enabled management tool that includes content delivery, reporting, and administration. This secure, scalable, and robust solution can be deployed to provide learning content universally throughout any type of organization. The underlying design supports independent learning objects that can mix and match to create customized courses, dramatically reducing time and development costs.
Our LMS has a full range of enterprise-wide capabilities:
- Registration management
- Content management
- Delivery of online and ILT courses
- Tracking for skills management
- Testing and evaluation
- Individualized student portals
- Reporting
- Record keeping
Content Aggregation
The system is flexible enough where you can create new courses in minutes using learning objects from other courses. The ability to reuse content allows for faster deployment and lower costs.
Separate Learning Centers
Different departments can set up separate learning centers or "schools" complete with their own interface, customization, and administration. Reporting and billing can be separated to reflect the different learning centers within your company.
Easy and Accessible for Everyone
Entirely web-based at both student and administrator levels – classes, assessments, accounts, scheduling, reporting, and content management are all enabled online – eliminating any need to install applications on workstations.
The Technology
The system is built on open standards (using J2EE, Java, ANSI92 with Unicode support), freeing you from any one platform, operating system, or database. The system is compliant with AICC, SCORM, and IMS and does not require any proprietary tools to develop content. An n-tiered architecture is used, providing the scalability and security that large organizations demand.
Business Intelligence Reporting
The system incorporates business intelligence reporting to allow managers, administrators, and learning advisors to drill down and analyze key performance indicators. Data such as assessment results, course evaluations, or individual/departmental knowledge and growth can be retrieved and easily turned into custom reports by region, country, division, course, or training vendor/partner.
Support for Instructor-Led Classes
Managing instructor-led classes can be integrated along with the e-learning curriculum. Administrators can schedule instructors and reserve classrooms, while students can search and register for classes. The system generates enrollment counts, lists of available classrooms that meet course delivery requirements, instructor schedules, and even lists of available qualified instructors. Online evaluations for the course, instructor, and facilities are also provided.
Cost-Effective Delivery Options
The system has three options for training delivery: synchronous, asynchronous, and instructor-led. Synchronous delivery features live e-learning where students and an instructor/learning advisor can interact online in real time. Asynchronous delivery offers e-learning at the convenience of the participant. These options, along with face-to-face instructor-led training, can be used separately or can be integrated to provide a comprehensive, blended learning experience.
