Global Technology Executive Selected to Lead CGS Technology Operations

New York, NY – November 10, 2016 – CGS, a global provider of business applications, enterprise learning and outsourcing services, announced today that it named John Samuel as the company’s senior vice president, global chief information officer. Samuel will lead CGS’s technology operations, and will be responsible for shaping the IT strategy and aligning it with the company’s vision, products and offerings.

Samuel brings more than 20 years of progressive technology operations experience in overseeing global technology, security and infrastructure. He has worked with senior leadership to provide guidance and management for IT infrastructure, operations data centers, cloud, global network and telephone and contact center support around the world.

Prior to joining CGS, Samuel served as senior vice president, data strategy, IT and operations infrastructure at Fareportal Inc., a global online travel agency. In this role, he managed the global shared services serving IT, telephony and innovation, workforce management, real-time mission control for contact centers, data science and data strategy.
