David Grabert
David Grabert is Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for CGS. He leads branding and go-to market strategies for each of CGS’s business lines: software applications development, customer experience outsourcing, enterprise learning, and immersive technologies for workplace collaboration.
David brings over two decades of experience in marketing and corporate communications at private, public, and private equity-owned firms to his CGS role. He is an expert on the digital transformation of media and advertising by virtue of his leadership roles with companies on the buy-, sell- and distribution-sides of media, at companies including GroupM/WPP, Cox Communications, Comcast, and DISQO. David built and led GroupM’s first-ever global marketing practice. As Global Head of Marketing & Communications for WPP’s $50B media buying arm, he propelled GroupM from a “behind-the-curtain” volume-based buying force to a respected industry thought leader on critical issues such as ad investment forecasting, programmatic media buying, social media, ad viewability, brand safety, and more. While rebranding GroupM, David created one voice and personality for the firm in 80 international markets.
David blends vision, creativity, and integrity with a commitment to brand purpose. He believes that companies should leave their clients, their people, and their communities better than they were before. David helped GroupM launch the Global Alliance for Responsible Media, helped Cox Communications protect children from online predators, helped Clear Channel Outdoor combat sex trafficking, and made DISQO a voice for LGBTQ+ representation in advertising. He’s volunteered with a variety of organizations and started his career in nonprofits, helping the City of New Orleans to lift people out of homelessness.
